Patachitra is a world renowned Indian folk art orginating from Odisha in the 4th century. It has thrived with time and has been passed down generations

This plate is based on the 'Kandarpa' theme which is the love/erotic theme of 'raasleela' that Lord Krishna enacts with the cowherd girls.
Here the cowherd girls transform themselves into an elephant - which essentially is a vehicle of love and trnasport their beloved Lord

This wall plate has been painstakingly made over a week and is detailed with fine workmanship.
It is 8 inches in diameter and has been painted on a plate of engineered wood/ mdf
