About the product
These are painting prints reflecting the daily life of villagers and tribes in the jungles of Orissa.
The themes range from marriages to processions, praying to Rain gods, Home set ups & commutes from one place to another.
These paintings are printed on Palm leaves stitched or stuck to one another.
The background colours used are predominantly Red, Green & Black with other colours being used minimally.
These are then framed with dried Golden Grass sticks bound together at the top with threads, giving it a beautiful and rustic appearance.
These are manufactured by small community groups or by small set-ups (cottage industry) in Orissa.
